What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy is an extremely gentle, yet profoundly powerful manual approach that works primarily through the body's connective tissues to help release retained causes of pain and dysfunction. In this way the therapist acts as a facilitator to encourage and enhance the body's own self-corrective mechanisms. Restrictions, once released in this manner, will most often not return. The therapy is applied to a clothed person lying on a soft, comfortable surface.

What is SomatoEmotional Release®?

SomatoEmotional Release® has been formulated by Dr John Upledger, the American Osteopathic Physician who pioneered CranioSacral Therapy. Dr Upledger found that the permanent release of some physical restrictions would require the expression and release of associated emotion.

What is Visceral Manipulation?

Developed by French Osteopath, Jean-Pierre Barral, Visceral Manipulation is similar in basic principles to CranioSacral Therapy, also working primarily with the body's connective tissues. It has a more specific focus, however, on internal organs, their articulations and attachments.
