Fiona Gilbraith MCSP, CST, MCSS

Fiona Gilbraith

Fiona qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 1985 and worked in the NHS for 13 years, specialising in working with adults and children with special needs. During this time she also studied for and graduated with a BSc(Hons) in Health Studies. She left her NHS job to focus full-time on her practice as a CranioSacral Therapist. Since then, she has undergone a continuous programme of personal and professional development, mainly through the Upledger Institute, for whom she is now one of 4 certified instructors in the UK. She also runs the Upledger study group for therapists in central and northern Scotland. More recently she has also studied with Jean-Pierre Barral, developer of Visceral Manipulation.

Fiona is passionate about treating the whole person and finding the origin of an issue in the body, rather than treating symptoms. She places great importance on listening to her patients, which is why she offers a free half hour consultation prior to treatment so that both parties can decide on the appropriateness of commencing treatment.

Fiona is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is a qualified member of the CranioSacral Society.
