Laura Garland DSM (Diploma Swedish Massage)

Laura has many years of experience practising holistic therapies, including Deep Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage and Reiki. She has worked as a therapist in 5 star spas all over the world, such as E'spa in Dublin and the Sheraton, Edinburgh. She worked and trained with Reiki Masters Richard Paterson and Annette Beuth, and has been a hands on healer for ten years. Laura received her Diploma in Swedish Massage in 2001 with the Scottish School of Massage, and worked and trained alongside physiotherapists for 3 years learning and applying specialised techniques. She received her diploma in Hot Stones Massage in 2005. She has certificates in many holistic treatments and products from Elemis and Darphin and has certificates in Phyto Drainage, which are specialised techniques using phytotherapy and lymphatic drainage. Laura also has a Diploma in Beauty Therapy from one of the best Beauty Schools in Dublin. She particularly enjoys working with seaweed facemasks as a lovely add on to massage treatment. This can be applied while you receive a head or hand massage.

Laura has a strong commitment to professional development and is currently completing her studies in Naturopathic Medicine and Clinical Aromatherapy. During her studies at the College of Naturopathic Medicine she is specialising in Nutrition and is due to qualify fully in September 2009. She believes that everyone has the power to improve their health by making informed choices. As well as offering natural health remedies and treatments, Laura will educate and guide you towards a deeper understanding of how to restore and maintain the balance and health of body, mind and spirit.
