Simone Baianu

Simone Baianu completed a 533-hour Massage Therapy certification program at East West College of the Healing Arts, a highly reputable institute of Anatomy and Sports Massage, in Portland, Oregon, USA in 2003.

Soon after graduating, she decided after a year and a half of studying mainly the Western approach of alternative therapies, it would be beneficial to study Thai Massage in Chiang Mai,Thailand, famous for its excellent training of Nuad Bo Rarn (Traditional Thai Yoga Massage) at the International Training of Massage, and completed her certification in 2004.

In 2005, Simone came to Edinburgh to study Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University. In 2007, she received a Certificate of Higher Education in Physiotherapy Theory and Treatment Practises. During her studies, she was Student Representative for QMU on the Student Council of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

Her subsequent Continuing Professional Development was focused on Myofascial Release, also known as Deep Tissue, which regularly she researches and attends seminars to broaden her knowledge.

Simone is a member of the International Council of Health, Fitness and Sports Therapists in association with the Federation of Holistic Therapists, and joined Cleanse in 2007.

Simone combines elements of Thai Massage stretches, Neuromuscular Techniques, Exercise Therapy, Muscle Balancing, and Myofascial Release in her unique style of bodywork to deliver the most down to earth, individually catered treatments possible. She believes that bodywork should ALWAYS be in the client's comfort zone, and that massage doesn't necessarily have to be deep to be effective, but she certainly isn't afraid of intense work.
